Exploring and visualising your data

Simply click anywhere on the row, other than the table name or icon, to highlight it and summary information about the table will be shown in the Information tab located in the right-hand sidebar. This information may be out of date if the table has been recently updated, so it's good practice to refresh this summary by clicking the 'Run analyse' button.

Opening a database table

To view the table content in more detail, click on either a table name or its associated icon to open a dedicated tab showing the table's fields and visualisation options. Rapid visualisation

To visualise data within a data table, click the 'Visualise' button, then:

  • Choose one of the chart types.
  • Choose one or more fields for the display (some charts only allow one field).
  • Optionally set up one or more filters, choosing field, operator, and value.
  • Click the 'Create chart' button.

If you change the filters but aren't happy with these changes, click on the 'Revert' button. Once you are ready to apply your new filters, click the 'Refresh visualisation' button to see how the output has changed and save it as either a file or desktop image, or as a note attachment which can be shared with other members of your team.
